Fossa Mala Pinot Grigio DOC Friuli Grave 2016

This vine, which originates in Bordeaux and is derived from the gemmary mutation of the Pinot Nero, is very popular in Friuli, which has the ideal soil and climate to allow it to fully express its balance and internationally famed agreeableness.

Our Fossa Mala Pinot Grigio is distinguished out by those notes which mark out a modern but still recognisable wine, also enriched by the nuances associated with our unique soils. The grape is harvested in the early days of September in the early hours of the morning, and special care is given to the thermal considerations. The must obtained is carefully fermented in stainless steel tanks, with strict thermal limits applied and sealed from oxygen. The result is a Pinot Grigio which is fine, elegant, fruity, with aromas reminiscent of dry hay, the walnut husk and mature fruit.
